meet The Director

Russell Smith

Georgia KIDMIN Director

Russell Smith joined the Georgia District Team as District KidMin Director in August 2020. Before becoming KidMin Director, Russell served as Kids Pastor for 10 years at First Assembly of God (Saraland, AL) and then 16 years at First Assembly of God (Griffin, GA). He and his wife, Misty, have two children, Ryleigh and Drew. Russell graduated from Southeastern University and has been an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God since 1998. Russell’s passions in life are his family, camping and outdoor adventures, disc golf and pickleball.

GA KidMin is dedicated to equipping and empowering both children and KidMin leaders across Georgia through resources, training, and support, with a focus on fostering spiritual growth in the next generation and strengthening those who lead them.
