Our Vision

Creating an environment for a healthy, growing, spirit-empowered church in every community in Georgia.

The Georgia District of the Assemblies of God integrates its ministry efforts around three core values:

Resources + Relationships + Renewal

These values are the filter by which we hold ourselves accountable, the matrix by which we allocate our assets, and the ingredients by which we construct our district events.

Resources

As a statewide network of churches, we seek to foster a collaborative, learning, and relational culture that emphasizes relationship-building, ongoing learning, mentoring of emerging leaders, and expansion of kingdom priorities through identifiable outcomes and results.

We aim to accomplish through the development of practical, human, and financial assets that create a harmonious and unified culture.

Relationships

With Jesus as our model, we seek to develop leadership through relationship. The effectiveness of our pastors and churches is birthed out of love, respect, and proximity among leaders.

We intentionally create resources and environments to set relational priorities as institutional priorities — to model relational behaviors as institutional leaders.

Renewal

In corporate recognition that it is “not by might, nor by power, but by [the Lord’s] Spirit” (Zec. 4:6), we seek to renew our Pentecostal distinction throughout our movement. We embrace a Spirit-empowered platform that recognizes and “makes room” for the Holy Spirit to produce fruitful results that cannot be gained through the acquisition of human knowledge, the employment of ministry strategy, or conjured by human emotion.

Methodology may vary across contexts, generations, and demographics, but Pentecostal renewal is an often-repeated value and a non-negotiable conviction.
